The event, Sponsored by WSP PB, gathered over 50 attendees from ACE member companies under one roof to meet and share knowledge.
The evening was themed around Future traits in the Built Environment. It started with a talk by Ben Piper, Principal Architect and Partner at Killa Architects, who presented the Ramboll-Killa design collaboration and construction of the innovative and ground breaking 3D Printed offices for the Museum of the Future, and the implications of computational design and 3D printing for the future.
The second speaker for the evening, Neil McAlpine, director of Transportation at Cundall, presented on how we should be addressing the needs of the future by looking at our past. His talk included examples of how Victorians dealt with traffic jams, and looked at innovative solutions for the future.
A lively interactive debate session followed and attendees were invited to ask questions to the panel, consisting of the two speakers and Gerald Todd, Head of Specialist Services at WSP.
