Bhavya Jain had joined The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) when he was an engineering student and has a long association of nine years with the society. As a voluntary member, he actively participated in and organised many events at the Gurugram chapter. Last year, Bhavya was appointed as the secretary, then through a nomination and voting process, he has been elected as the President-elect this year, which will then evolve into the role of the President next year.
Talking about his association with the group, “I get to network with many experts and stay abreast of the latest trends, plus being connected to students gives me a big boost of energy. I learn more by connecting with experts and young researchers alike.”
ISHRAE was founded in 1981 in New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC engineers. It has over 28,780 professionals and student-members operating from 42 chapters and sub-chapters spread across the country. The objective of this association is to advance the field of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration engineering related services, networking with like-minded engineers and knowledge sharing, career guidance and financial assistance to students in the field and encouragement of scientific research.
Congratulations Bhavya, we wish you all the very best in your role as the President-elect!
