Ramboll is a finalist for 'Best Employee Engagement Initiative' at the CIPD Middle East People Awards 2021

For the first time in history, Ramboll has been shortlisted as one of the finalists for the category 'Best employee Engagement Initiative', selected from hundreds of entries!

This award is granted to high-performing organisations that attribute much of their effectiveness, innovation, and growth to high-impact employee engagement initiatives. Our Ramboll submission outlines the challenges and positive outcomes through our various employee-focused initiatives, showcasing unique approaches, processes, and executed actions. The finalists in this category are ADNEC, Jumeirah Group, Bupa Arabia and Ramboll. 

The judging process included several stages: First, a Q&A process through the CIPD online platform. Nominations were ranked against four criteria: leadership, innovation, business alignment, and impact. Second, a 30-minute live presentation including a Q&A with the panel of judges, led by Maria Manzoor, HR Director of the Middle East & Asia Pacific at Ramboll. 

In an interview with Maria, she commented: "We are excited to be shortlisted for the Best Employee Engagement Programme category at the prestigious CIPD ME People Awards 2021. It is a great testament to the significant milestone that we have achieved so far at Ramboll – physical, mental, professional and flexible well-being for starters. By using value-driven initiatives, we propel ourselves into the future of being a people-powered organisation where employees feel connected to our organisation and feel empowered and inspired to deliver both to clients and colleagues alike. I would like to thank our Ramboll leadership team, our dedicated employees, and the HR team for their stellar efforts and continued engagement in making this possible."

In this presentation, Maria showcased Ramboll's strong communication channels alongside robust employee engagement programmes in the Middle East – including 'Hayya', which means "Let's go" in Arabic. Ramboll employees in the Middle East were encouraged to join, engage, and have fun in these organised activities, specifically planned to create a dynamic work environment and an overall sense of wellness within Ramboll. Hayya comprises several elements – including health & wellness, insight and learning, CSR, sporting activities, and team building. In collaboration with EWC (Employee Works Council), PWN (Professional Women's Network) and YPN (Young Professional Network), the HR team led the initiatives and activities of Hayya.
The winners will be announced at a Virtual Award Ceremony happening on Thursday, 28 October 2021, at 16:00 (GST). Fingers crossed, we’re wishing Ramboll all the best!
