Ramboll received the Best Impactful Thought Leader Award the distinguished Smart City Awards held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Smart City Awards recognise exemplary cities and projects that harness innovative ideas with an aim to promote sustainable urban development across the globe. The awards ceremony was part of the three-day Smart city expo at Jaipur from 26 to 28 September, where Ramboll participated as a speaker and exhibitor.
“This is a great honour for us to receive this award which reflects the team’s effort in establishing Ramboll’s smart city solutions across India and abroad” stated Pankaj Sachdeva, Country Market Director – Energy and Telecom. “Our innovative service offering is also in line with the Indian government’s broader agenda of the Smart Cities Mission.”

Winning this award inspires us to keep up the good work and continue to contribute towards the establishment of smart cities across India and abroad.” Suresh was also part of a panel discussion at the Smart City expo on the topic Smart cities: Local Incubation and Innovation.
About the Expo
This is an international Smart city conference organised by Fira Barcelona in partnership with the Jaipur Development Authority and Quantela from 26 to 28 September at Jaipur. Representatives from across the world took part in discussing solutions to challenges that today’s cities are facing in terms of efficiency, urban planning, social and economic development in the global era.
All the major stakeholders in the gamut of smart cities including the representatives of Central and State governments of India, were present at the expo. A range of topics were covered over the three days, some of which include innovation, technology and digital governance, the future of mobility and urban planning, social development, smart destinations, clean tech and circular economy and smart village.
