WELL Accredited Professionals in Ramboll

11 October 2016

Ramboll Middle East’s Sophie Chisholm, Senior Sustainability Consultant, and Ragini Kalapatapu, Sustainability Consultant, are the first in Ramboll to have achieved the WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) credential; signifying advanced knowledge and specialization in the WELL Building Standard.

The WELL Building Standard is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring the performance of building features that impact health and well-being. It provides the opportunity to design and build with a human-centered approach; thus adding meaningful value to real estate assets, generate savings in personal costs and enhance the human experience.

WELL is grounded in a body of medical research that explores the connection between the buildings where we spend more than 90 percent of our time and the health and wellness impacts on us as occupants. The WELL Building Standard is the culmination of seven years of research, in partnership with leading scientists, doctors, architects and wellness thought leaders.

The standard sets performance requirements in seven concepts - air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind. WELL Certified spaces can help create a built environment that improves the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep patterns, and performance of its occupants. WELL is administered by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and third-party certified through IWBI’s collaboration with Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).

If you have any further questions or for support in the certification of projects against the WELL Building Standard, contact Sophie Chisholm or Ragini Kalapatapu.
