Floating Bridge – Makes the impossible possible

The floating bridge concept for crossing the Bjornafjorden in Norway is the result of state-of-the-art engineering solving a previous impossible challenge. The more than 5,5 km floating bridge is believed to cost 1,7 billion EUR including VAT (2017).

Mumbai Trans Harbour Link

A new 21.8 km bridge to connect Mumbai and Navi stimulating economic growth in India. 

Storstrøm Bridge - Detailed Design

The main contractor on the construction of the new Storstrøm bridge SBJV, has selected ramboll to assist with the delivery of Denmark's third largest bridge.  

Dhubri-Phulbari bridge, India

The bridge is being built over vastly wide Brahmaputra River, a key connection between Dhubri on north bank and Phulbari on south bank in the state of Assam / Meghalaya on NH-127b (length: 20km). The end Employer is National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corp. Ltd and funded by JICA. The proposed bridge will connect the state of Assam and Meghalaya with the rest of the nation, reducing the detouring road distance by about 203 km from Dhubri to Phulbari, which lie on the either side of the Brahmaputra before it flows into Bangladesh. The project includes mainly bridge structure with Extradosed bridges as majority of the bridge. The Extradosed bridge has Well Foundation while approach viaduct is rested on pile foundations.  

Detailed Design of Mumbai Coastal Road

The overall Mumbai Coastal Road project covers the construction of a 29.2-km long freeway that will run along Mumbai's western coastline connecting Marine Lines in the south to Kandivali in the north.

The New South Wales Government is investigating two new motorways for Sydney.

Digitised Asset Monitoring and Control Management for Bogibeel bridge

The Bogibeel rail/road bridge is currently under construction across the river Brahmaputra in Dibrugarh district, in the state of Assam in northeast of India. The just above 5km bridge is one of the longest river bridges in the country.

Harike Bypass, India

The Harike Bypass is part of the National Highway Development Project in the state of Punjab that will enable faster connectivity between Amritsar and Bathinda, reducing travel time by two hours.

New Bridge for St. Lawrence corridor, NBSL

The New Champlain Bridge corridor is one of the largest infrastructure projects in North America and is of crucial importance for the regional economy and for Canada as a whole. 

Queensferry Crossing

The Queensferry Crossing sits within a beautiful bridge-scape representing three centuries of bridge innovation. It is the UK’s tallest bridge and the world’s longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge.

E18 Grimstad-Kristiansand

Ramboll is engaged as the main consultant on the stretch of the new E18 motorway between Grimstad and Kristiansand. The new motorway will significantly improve the Norwegian infrastructure and will improve living conditions for local communities living along the existing road.

Doha Metro Green Line Underground

As part of an ambitious plan to develop a railway based public transport in Doha, Qatar Railways Rail has appointed a Joint Venture comprising PORR, the Saudi Binladin Group and HBK Contracting for the design and construction of Green Line Underground.

The Mersey Gateway

It is a new six-lane cable-stayed tolled bridge across the Mersey Estuary between Runcorn and Widnes. The central feature of the significant highway improvements between the M56 and Speke Road. 

Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link

In the future Scandinavia and the rest of Europe will be connected by the world's longest road and rail tunnel.
